No come on, guys! Taylor is going to NEW JERSEY! Show a little pity here! ;D Besides, don't the Timbers have a big tour of Aumsville coming up that you should be preparing for ? www.aumsville.us/Viva la Maize!

As I have said before be very happy that you have a Club that is soccer only unlike the Timber ownership. So yes I am sure any player that does leave is more then happy to make more money and have the chance to play more then just during the season for their club. To gloat about this gets you nowhere. Unlike your club the Timber will allways have an uphill battle to feild a winning team that could win a championship.

I remember in the old NASL days Seattle often lost in the playoffs to LA Aztecs. I hated that especially because LA had NO FANS! Sounders were drawing over 20,000 per match at that time. It all seemed so unfair that a non-supported team won over us. So I can relate a little bit.

There are those that would argue that they are glad Andrew has left as well. I would have preferred that we had him in our midfield rather than yours this year however. The fury at former Timbers playing for the Sounders is mainly that they have joined the nearest rival.
As for the Aumsville trip, we couldn't go that far...there's no one to pay the bill. Oops, I forgot, that was probably one of the tasks listed in the search for a new combined coach/GM.

Obviously Seattle have very *nice* owners who love the sport. How else can one explain 12 straight seasons of losing 500K plus per year, and yet they keep winning and coming back for more. Of course the non-profit status thing hasn't hurt. The photos above are from Tanzania. The National stadium wide view and the Sounders arriving at the Dar es Salaam airport. More: www.seattlesounders.net/cgi-bin/pressrelease.cgi?ID=358Only 4 starters from the 2005 Championship team made the trip. Seattle went 0-1-2 against the competition. They are now on safari and will return to the NW this weekend.
